IPECS system

The IPECS system is a fully IP system capable of handling 1200 ports, lines and extensions. The system is able to use the IPLDK range of handsets, an IP version of the LDK range. The IPLDK 24 which is a 24 button LCD capable IP phone is sometimes badged as the “Nexer”.

The system operates across Cat 5 cable for the handsets, each of which must be powered. The requirement is that a POE (Power over Ethernet) Switch is used, and this carries power to handsets along the network cabling. The phone sets contain Mac Addresses, which means that they can be unplugged and re-plugged and enable a user to literally take his phone, along with its extension number to a new office.

The handsets convert voice data to IP data automatically, so the extensions are all VoIP connected.

The IPECS system is capable of a wide range of features, for example it can be used as a highly efficient conferencing system, It can also recognise a caller and pas them round a predetermined list of people who you would recommend to receive that call. IPECS is an ideal system for Call centres, as it is possible to add rules to distribute incoming calls, to a specified pattern.
